Tom Moore


Tom Moore co-founded Silicon Valley Medical Instruments (SVMI) in 2007 and served as the Chief Executive Officer of the company until it was sold for significant multiple in late 2012.

SVMI developed the world’s first high definition IntraVascular Ultrasound Imaging (IVUS) system. IVUS is used to select and guide the placement of coronary stents during heart operations. Previous Tom was a senior executive at Volcano and Boston Scientific.

Tom was an early adopter utilizing Pearl to make key business decisions at a critical point in his company’s life cycle. Pearl was instrumental in helping Tom convince his board that the best financial outcome was an early pre-revenue exit.
